Spycloud

The new way for companies to disrupt cybercrime

The Challenge

As a well-respected Austin startup in the cybersecurity industry, SpyCloud was ready for a digital presence that could support the rapid growth the company was experiencing. With a premier solution to thwart online fraud, SpyCloud’s existing site offered a modern aesthetic but was lacking critical components for success: intuitive navigation, effective user engagement, and high-quality lead generation. Additionally, the site provided a confusing administrative experience, making it challenging for nontechnical staff members to make any updates.

Brand Discovery

In designing the SpyCloud website, I conducted thorough brand discovery research to understand the organization’s identity and objectives. Through stakeholder interviews and analysis of existing branding materials, I gained insights into SpyCloud’s unique position in the cybersecurity industry. This guided the design direction, ensuring that every aspect of the website, from color palette to imagery, authentically reflects SpyCloud’s brand identity and effectively communicates its message to the target audience.

Web Design

The goal with the visual design of the website was to elevate the brand equity SpyCloud had already established with a modern aesthetic. Starting with SpyCloud’s powerful hexagonal logo, the design capitalized on the unique shape as a core design element throughout the site. The design also leveraged the circuitry imagery found in the logo as a secondary design element. A set of custom-designed icons and graphics were also designed to be used throughout the site.

Development

The website was developed using a custom WordPress theme and the Elementor page builder, empowering staff members to seamlessly manage the site’s administration. This theme was tailored to ensure efficient content updates and maintenance processes, enhancing overall usability. Moreover, the theme was custom-built with compatibility in mind, specifically for a smooth migration to a static environment using the Shifter software.
