The Challenge

The Corporate Legal Operations Consortium (CLOC) sought to revamp their online presence to better serve their diverse community of legal operations professionals, service providers, and stakeholders. The primary objectives were to create a user-friendly platform that facilitates access to educational resources, promotes community engagement, and effectively communicates upcoming events and initiatives. Additionally, enhancing the site’s visual appeal and ensuring seamless navigation were critical to reflect CLOC’s commitment to innovation and excellence in the legal operations field.

Brand Discovery

To align the website with CLOC’s mission and values, an in-depth brand discovery process was undertaken. This involved comprehensive research, including stakeholder interviews and analysis of existing brand materials, to gain insights into CLOC’s identity and objectives. Understanding the organization’s dedication to driving innovation and standardization in legal operations informed the development of a cohesive design strategy that resonates with their target audience.

Web Design

The design phase focused on creating a modern, intuitive, and responsive website that embodies CLOC’s brand ethos. Key design elements included a clean layout, contemporary typography, and a cohesive color palette that reflects professionalism and approachability. The navigation was restructured to feature a mega-menu, allowing users to effortlessly explore various sections such as Content, Events, Community, and About. Emphasis was placed on accessibility, ensuring that resources and information are easily reachable for all users.

Development

The development process prioritized functionality, performance, and user experience. The website was built using a robust Content Management System (CMS), empowering CLOC’s team to efficiently manage and update content. The site is fully responsive, providing an optimal viewing experience across a range of devices, from desktops to mobile phones. Integration of third-party services, such as event management tools and community forums, was implemented to enhance user engagement and streamline operations.


Additionally, a key aspect of the development was the implementation of a member management system by integrating Novi AMS. This integration allows paid users to access premium content seamlessly.  By leveraging Novi AMS, I ensured that exclusive resources and premium content are accessible only to authorized users, enhancing the value proposition for CLOC’s paying members.
